| 0:00.0 | Yay, networks. You're in such a bad mood. You just pick it at anything. I'm not. You're picking at pee water. No, I'm not. It drives me nuts. Hey guys, episode 64. It's a hot one today, but it is cold in our basement. And I went and got a coffee, so I was like cold. I've been like that today because I'm about to start my period. I'm like hot, cold, and then I'm like emotional. Everything makes me want to cry. And I know today for a second, I was like, am I pregnant? And then I was like, no, there's no possible way. I have an IUDN. Yeah. And it hasn't actually been fireworks in this house lately. I mean, I wasn't going to go there, but Well, that has to happen too. Unless the UPS guys showing up lately. And he's having more of you. Speaking of UPS, we have the best UPS lady that delivers our packages. She delivered my phone the other day and she was like, |
| 1:05.0 | hey girl, she goes, I got your phone. |
| 1:06.6 | I was like, oh, I've been waiting for this. She is the hardest working person and she is so sweet. And she, like the heaviest packages, I'm like, I'll help you. No, no, no, I got it. This is my job. She needs a race. UPS needs to give her a race. UPS is really good benefits. |
| 1:24.3 | I know they do, but I'm like, she needs like a raise. |
| 1:26.5 | She's always on it and she goes, |
| 1:28.4 | anytime I see your name, you're first. |
| 1:29.9 | Don't- She needs a race. UPS needs to give her a race. UPS is really good benefits. I know they do, but I'm like she needs like a race |
| 1:26.3 | She's always on it and she goes anytime I see your name your first on my list to come deliver it And we got a long that's driveway. I know yeah, I wouldn't like delivering to our house But yeah, she's always got a smile on her face. Mm-hmm. I don't think it's the worst life I didn't say it was. I said she needs a raise because she works her ass off. |
| 1:45.2 | All right, well, it's not my department. I could use some money too. Maybe I could talk to you PS lady. There you go. Talk to you PS lady. But last night we, so we're recording today's Friday, Thursday, we went to what actually was it called? I'll let you as you're about to go up your beer. |
| 2:06.8 | At any time, I'm drinking a beer, it's a Friday. We're recording on a Friday. Yeah. So talk about it. It's with your daily life crew. Right. And y'all were down at the Clayton Hotel. We met a couple people who listened to this podcast. Yeah. So nice. Those of you who won, person flew all the way from Texas. |
| 2:28.2 | That's Paula and Hi Paula and she's been following us forever. And I just met so many awesome people and it was fun. And I'll let you take it away because it's your thing. Yeah. And if you turned it tuned in virtually, thank you for that if you didn't, that's fine too. |
| 2:46.7 | But yeah, so the job that I'm currently with, everyone know, Daily Blast Live, we had a show announcing that we're gonna come out with our own podcast once a week just to try to keep the crew together and their pitching us around just to see if there's any chance we could get back on a different network, all that stuff, for whatever it is. |
| 3:06.0 | There's nothing's guaranteed. |
| 3:07.7 | We're hoping to prayer at this point. But we put together this live event, Erica Cobb, who's a co-host on Daily Blast Live, puts together her own show. She's starting her own production company. Her production company put on, it's called Daytime Talk After Dark. That's actually the name of our podcast too. So that'll be coming out next month. Wow, two weeks till our show ends from today, which is kind of sad. I was just in my studio. I had to go. I watched your video. You look like you're about to cry. I almost did cry. And my boss called me and he goes, what are you doing? I'm like, what's up? He goes, you're going to make me cry. Why are you at the studio by yourself? |
| 3:45.9 | He thought I just went over there. |
| 3:47.4 | But who is the other podcast a couple weeks ago, my boss. So he's not only my boss, but a mentor and a great friend of mine. But yeah, so he called me and he's like, he thought I just went there because I was like sad. you know, because last night I'm getting back to the event, but I was doing something at this show called Colorado |
| 4:05.2 | and company that films in nine news and they have me on once in a while. So it just worked out that we were off today and I was filming that. But going back to yesterday, I was very emotional at the event if you did tune in, you saw. But I don't know. Like I go through. Well, it's because all five of you were together and you were talking about your time together. Seven years is a long time and you all, we say this, we say this, I feel like on every episode, you all are like family. Nobody has big egos. A lot of people in your industry have big egos and they're not friendly and all of you all are genuine and really care for each other. Yeah. And it was sad because we were telling stories about the audition process and how we all met and how we moved here and ups and downs we went through. And it was even more than I gave my brain space to realize. So kind of hit me at once. And everyone working, it was a nice production, Erica put on a great production. And everyone working the production were people that work at DBL. And it's not just that I'm gonna miss, you know, the camaraderie between the hosts. I'm gonna, what I love most about that job is all the people that worked there. The camera guys, the PA's, the sound guys, the producers, everybody, everybody that works there. uh, you know. We became like a little family. So that's what I miss most. A lot of people think it's just on air or the notoriety or it's not. It's the family that we built there. We built a family atmosphere, always joking, cutting it up. That's what hit me. Because I'm like, man, I'm gonna, |
| 5:46.3 | if I do find a new job, when I find a new job, |
| 5:49.0 | it's gonna have to start all over. |
| 5:50.3 | I'm sure I'll build some new friendships, you know? |
| 5:52.6 | But, you always do. |
| 5:53.7 | Yeah, always. |
