Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Thursday. This is Seattle now. Seattle is home to one of

the largest publicly available movie collections in the world.

Scarecrow video has been renting and selling films in the city for 36 years.

But now they say they're in trouble.

The nonprofit is raising $1.8 million to keep the doors open.

We'll take a trip there to speak with Scarecrow executive director Kate Barr in a minute. But first, let's get you caught up.

Seattle City Council member Tammy Morales plans to present her ideas today to improve the

transportation levy renewal before the committee.

Morales says her amendment would create a safer, more accessible system than the current

proposal from the mayor's office. The committee has one more meeting Tuesday to vote on amendments

before the final meeting July 9th. The final proposal heads to voters in November.

It's the start of the summer season in Seattle, except the weather is it the pause button.

We've got a high of 64 today with rain forecasted throughout the morning.

That's about seven degrees colder than average.

But don't fret, things will get back on track and into the 70s this weekend.
