Alright, can you tell me who you are and where we are?

I'm Christopher Kyle, I'm a screenwriter, Secretary of Treasury of Writers Guild East,

and we are in front of Paramount headquarters in Times Square, New York City.

So I'm in New York this week, and it's my first time visiting New York City picket lines,

and some things are just a little different than LA picket lines.

Can we start with like, describe the signs that we're holding?

Well, we have pretty wordy signs here.

My sign says, I'm a writer, you think I want to do this much physical activity.

And your sign is physically smaller than they are in LA, and what you're holding on to

is not a wooden stick, it is a cardboard tube.

It is a cardboard tube, it's like a giant toilet paper roll.

This is a New York state law, apparently passed by the police unions, because sometime

in the past, union members used hard sticks to beat up the police when they tried to break

up union rallies, so that's why we have these.

All right, and so we have a good size crowd here.

How many picketing sites will it be on a given day in New York?

We usually have four picket sites, here at Amazon, 30 Rock, and Netflix.
