And this is a scripted out sidecast, a short episode about one thing, which today is not

about negotiations.

It's out of a whole different kind of shuns.

That's right.

We're talking about elections.

So the DGA just had theirs, SAG after is happening right now, and the WGA is just about

to start, right?

Yeah, and it's good we're diving in here because ultimately everything that happens with

these unions traces back to two things, I think.

Who is the leadership, and how engaged is the membership?

Now, as I say that, I recognize that there could be more than two things.

I guess there's also the Union's history, the economy, the general feeling about organized

labor in this country, but I don't want to confuse things.

Let's keep the narrative simple and say that it's all about leadership and membership

because those two things come together to bring us elections.

And Drew, you actually had to do some research for this because I'll confess, I don't

know the first thing about how SAG after and DGA did their elections, but now you do.

I didn't either, but yeah, luckily some people were able to help me out.
