Press. Flash Washington. The White House announces Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

The Japanese had celebrated this attack. It was victory.

There was no way America would enter the war now.

The only man who did not celebrate was the one who planned the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Admiral Yamamoto would write later in his diary,

I fear all that we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible result.

These prophetic words would come back to haunt him.

Yesterday, December 7, 1941, a date which will live in infamy.

United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by a naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

America had officially joined the war. If you shoot at us, we'll shoot you back.

The United States, along with its allies, were about to give Nazi Germany, the Empire of Japan,

and Italy, not the beating they needed, but the one they deserved.

The United States of America was a war of war.

From September 1940 to May 1941, Hitler ordered relentless nighttime bombing raids against London

and other British cities.

The plan was to demoralize the British people.

Hitler could not have been more wrong.

In 1943, the Royal Air Force would return the favor. They began their own nighttime bombing

campaign against German cities, the likes of which had never been seen before.
