I'm sure you're in a quarantine high yeah fortunately we're in a we're in a small closed room so I guess we will also be dead

but not in the closer with us but in Washington DC senior writer Christine Rosen heikrstein hi John okay so um

that was uh that was a train wreck of a debate last night it was the I think easily the worst moderated debate I have ever seen

interesting choice by CBS to have to try to sort of promote its two stars news stars right morning host Gail King and

evening news host norodonal by having them be the sole moderators of the first half hour

not a wise decision as their unbelievable incompetence and bumbling turn the proceedings into

uh like a just a screen fest they were just screaming at each other all seven of the month stage and you couldn't hear it was going on and uh

the distinction between evening news and am news was evident in the final break when the program was over and the news host norodonal said well you're released

and the am well said yes there's more to come yeah there wasn't more to come that was she said and that's we just have to make sure the average that's it from South Carolina

and then Gail King you know no no we have we have more and so um and so then we went to commercial that came back and it was like

that's a huge burden of South Carolina in the debate that's MTV yeah anyway it was um it was just just awful so uh that was that was one thing to be said

that's just the sort of performance aspect um so the interesting thing about the hey while we're on the performance aspect

um did you also notice that Gail King's like weird sort of daughterly deference to Biden at moments

yeah well at one point he said that was a good answer and she was like that was a good answer yeah

it was a love you're and you're always a gentleman it was to fight it was pronounced with Biden

yeah but then she scolded then she scolded Amy Klobuchar at the end so that there was this you know one of those

horrendous decisions to you know say what is the what what sentence summarizes your political

opinions and what and what uh you know what what misconceptions do people have of you so Klobuchar essentially goes into a closing
