And this is really critical information if you're about to get married.

It's also important if you're in a frustrating marriage.

Knowing these three types of marriages, the three context or three frameworks for a marriage,

is pretty important because it's really about being on the same page or seeing eye to eye.

And you've probably had the experience of not being on the same page with someone.

And if you have children with this person and you've been with them and you share a mortgage and finances together,

and you're not on the same page, it can lead to a lot of pain and frustration and agony over time

and hurt feelings right?

So distinguishing where you personally are at in these three types of marriages,

what you're aligned with is going to help you see diagnostically if your marriage is doomed, or if you're going to make it.

And I like to just give it to people straight.

So, there's a couple different ways to look at this.

The first type, I'll just mention the three types and then we'll unpack them.

The first type is the careful types.

It's a careful marriage, or your orientation within the marriage is careful. Number two is

care less and number three is caring.

And the care and the caring types are the people that succeed over the long haul.
