Well, hello, my friends, and welcome to the Live Inspired podcast Monday morning moments with John O'Leary.

This one recorded from the set of On Fire. Today's message is going to be around living yes.

Each year, my four kids join their dad, that is me, for a little bit of one-to-one time on a work trip.

It's sacred time for us to spend together, and it's affectionately known as their daddy trip, the daddy trip.

Each child looks at my speaking schedule.

They look at the cities where I'm going to be going to next.

They choose where they want to go.

They plan out absolutely everything that we do once we get there.

I act as we plan this thing like it's a gift for them.

But for those of you with little ones, you know that it's actually a gift for me.

It's just me being selfish.

From the moment we leave the house until the moment we return a day or so later, there's only one thing that I have to do on these trips.

You ready for it?

Whatever the request, even if I am tired and completely not up for it, my response

is to simply say yes and then to act excited about it. Several years ago, my 13-year-old son, Jack,

selected Phoenix, Arizona for his trip. We stayed at the Phoenician. It's a resort that I'd

spoken at and stayed at many times overenician. It's a resort that I'd spoken at and stayed at many

times over the years. It's absolutely amazing, though, how different the experiences when you are

with a child and you're responding yes to participating fully with them as they do in their lives.

It's why minutes after checking in, we were already swimming.

I'd never been in the Phoenician pool before.

I'd been there more than 10 times.
