He's also the author of a fantastic new book on the automotive industry.

It's called Saving Ourselves from Big Car, which we're going to be

So, Big Car. It's sort of your shorthand term for really what's an entire system. I mean,

automakers, oil, steel, insurance, media, government.

And so my first question, I guess, is why frame things so broadly, or maybe looking

up the other way, what do we miss when we talk only about the auto industry?
