Hello, welcome to Beyond Today, I'm Tina Dehealy.

This is the space to ask one big question about one big story.

Today we're asking, save or spend, what should I do with my money.

Money we all want more of it, but apart from securing a bumper pay rise or winning the lottery,

the most obvious way to get more is to look after what we do have the best way we can.

But it can be very hard to know what to do.

Isers, interest rates, pensions, mortgages, the list goes on.

They can be pretty tricky to understand if you don't know what you're

talking about. Someone who does is the Chancellor of the Exchequer. He's talking

today about what the government's going to do with its money in the spring statement.

Two other people who know what they're talking about are sitting in front of me.

They really know how to help people through the financial fog.

I'm Laura Waitley, I'm a journalist and author of a new book called Money Users Guide, which is a book aimed at under 40s millennials anybody who feels quite scared of money and is a bit embarrassed to admit what they don't know.

A lot of people say that. We're going to start with something. Lots of the

questions we got were about buying a house for the first time or at least trying to.
