On January 4, 2019, 22-year-old Savannah Spurlock wanted a night out on the town. A few weeks prior, Savannah had given birth to twins making her a mother of 4 young children. Her mother, Ellen, could see that she needed a break so after her older children were tucked safely into their beds, Savannah went out with a girlfriend to a bar in Lexington, KY around 10pm.
This was supposed to be a night filled with fun and a chance to cut loose. The evening didn't go as planned after Savannah and her friend got into an argument and separated. Savannah later left the bar with three men she had met that evening. Savannah called her mother via face time and let her know that everything was fine and that she would be home in a few hours. This was the last time that anyone would speak to her Savannah.
The police asked for help from the public in identifying the men that Savannah was with the night she went missing. By the end of January, all three men that Savannah interacted with on the night of her disappearance were identified and questioned. According to one of the men, David Sparks, Savannah had come back to his home with him and that she eventually left later that morning, but he did not know where she was. However, on July 10, 2019 human remains would be found at a home in Garrard County. This would be the home of David Sparks.
If you have any information regarding the death of Savannah Spurlock please call the Richmond Police department at 859-623-8911.
Update- On August 28, 2019, David Sparks was indicted for the murder of Savannah Spurlock.
