Small-town land-use conflicts,

property tax abatements, commercial zoning, public testimony,

these aren't things we talk about on the Love Cast very often,

or like ever, but we're going to talk about them today.

Our story today takes us to Noble'sville, Indiana,

where Ryan Polikoffoan's a woodworking business in Noble'sville,

called Woodturnings with the Z Woodturnings.

Late last year, Ryan closed a big deal with city officials and

another local business, Texan, Tauel, and Supply,

that would have meant both businesses, successful, local,

small-town businesses, both would build new headquarters in Noble'sville,

creating a bunch of temporary jobs for construction workers,

and keeping the jobs these men have already created,

in town, and adding more as these businesses expanded in Noble'sville.

Polikoff was prepared to spend $5 million on a new building,

Texan Tauel was prepared to spend $5.5 million,

and both businesses pay above Indiana's median wage
