I, of course, like everyone else, was somehow blindsided by Justice Anthony Kennedy's

announcement that he was retiring in the Supreme Court.

And, of course, the consequence of that announcement is that Donald J.

fucking Trump is going to make a second appointment to the United States Supreme Court.

Within two years, Barack Obama only got two appointments to the Supreme Court in his eight years.

Like I said, we knew this was coming.

In fact, someone named Hillary Clinton tried to warn us about it.

She tweeted on the 22nd of December 2015, a Republican president could nominate as many as four Supreme Court justices, why that should terrify you.

And people jump down her throat.

Lefties jumped down her throat.

How dare Hillary Clinton attempt to bully us into voting for her in November of 2016 by bringing up the Supreme Court?

That was manipulative of her to cite the Supreme Court.

Now, of course, it seems relevant. Now everyone wishes they could jump in their time machine and cite the Supreme Court. Now, of course, it seems relevant. Now everyone wishes they

could jump in their time machine and take the Supreme Court seriously in November of last year

in the same way that right-wangers have been taking the Supreme Court seriously for decades.

Listening to lefties talk about the Supreme Court kind of reminds me, and this is a big reach and bear with me,

reminds me of listening to anti-vaxers talk about why their kids don't need vaccines because they don't really worry about polio or measles or diphtheria or whooping cough or mumps or tetanus because they don't know any kids who are getting those diseases.

So why is everyone so afraid of them?
