Here's Bloomberg's.

Oral sex may cause more throat cancer than smoking in men, researchers say.

And here's Bloomberg's lead, quote,

A virus spread by oral sex may cause more cases of throat cancer in men than smoking, a finding that spurred calls for new large-scale tests of a drug used against the infection.

The virus, HPV, we have a vaccine for that virus. We have two vaccines for that virus that are hugely effective.

But the takeaway

in our sex negative, paranoid, freaky culture was oral sex is dangerous and nobody should be doing

it. When these headlines hit, I was actually at Ohio State University to give a talk in the same

building where I was giving a Q&A, a Savage Love Live Live, above me in a lecture hall,

Dr. Ted Technos, who is the division director of head and neck surgery at the Arthur James

Cancer Hospital and So Love Research Institute at Ohio State University, was giving a speech

himself about these developments, about throat cancers and men, about HPV, about the vaccine.

And he and I sat down in my dressing room after our respective speeches and had a long

conversation about HPV, about the risks, about oral cancer, about what people need to know

and what people need to do about what we know now, about oral sex, about HPV.

And Dr. Technos agreed to come on the show today with me, and we're going to have a little conversation about this.
