I was looking forward to starting this week's podcast off with, you know, a little

digression about where I am, where I'm recording from.

I'm in Auburn, Alabama, which is not a place I've ever visited before here recording a TV show for MTV, War Eagle, I'm supposed to say, for all the Auburnites out there listening.

And I want to have a little fun about the travel and share a little bit of what I'm up to with all y'all, but I'm not going to be able to do that this

week because there's something else I need to talk about, something that ain't much fun.

Jamie Rodemeyer was 14 years old growing up in Buffalo, New York, and he was feminine.

Most of his friends were girls. He loved Lady Gaga. And for that, he was very

brutally bullied on a daily basis and harassed online, viciously, and encouraged to kill himself.

And that is what he did. He took his own life a couple of weeks ago, and the bullies are still walking around,

as Jamie's mother said on CBS. Indeed, they showed up at a dance that Jamie's sister was attending,

and when a song was dedicated to Jamie's memory, they began to chant, we're glad you're dead.
