Before we get to your calls, a little shout out there to everybody who marched

against Prop 8, and here is your next assignment. Maybe you heard about a day without the gay or

gay without the day coming up on December 10th. That's one of the protests where all gay people

are supposed to call in sick and not go to work. It's a okay idea.

What they want you to do is send a postcard to Barack Obama at his presidential transition

office asking him, please, to make good on all the promises he made to

the gay and lesbian community during the campaign, including his promise to repeal DOMA or the

Defense of Marriage Act. As Glenn Greenwald writes on salon, Barack Obama very specifically, and for

years, indicated that he was an opponent to DOMA. He said it during the campaign. Joe Biden said it during

the vice presidential debates. Barack Obama promised to repeal DOM in his open letter to the gay and

lesbian community during the election campaign. And he won by a landslide. So this isn't some

shock or surprise. This is something that America has signed off on. It's part of Barack Obama's

mandate. If America didn't want
