Then I meet Mike Lee and already and he's like, no, I'm the manager and it's like, okay, well, I know that you have a relationship with Badu Jack and I've seen you around the Mayweather gym and fighters for a long time and then this amazing opportunity that I'm sure is life changing for you. |

| 1:48.4 | Step to step back about my, my beginning. I started the martial arts at the age of eight years old. Of course, my father forced me to get into it to kind of learn how to defend myself and gradually, you know, trend moved on to kickboxing. |
| 2:04.4 | And I loved the full contact aspect of the kickboxing. I had, you know, a great time. I had, you know, represented the United States in international competitions. |
| 2:13.4 | And when I started kickboxing, that's where I took my, that's where I really started, you know, getting that zest for real combat sports. |
| 2:20.4 | My heart was always in boxing. My father was a huge boxing fan, rest of soul. And, and, you know, that's where my heart always was. |
| 2:28.4 | And I never say regret. But if I ever had one thing that I would probably change my career, it would be to probably transition into boxing instead of continuing my kickboxing. |
| 2:38.4 | But, you know, I had a lot of success in kickboxing. And, and it was a very, you know, I loved using my legs because of the martial arts background. |
| 2:46.4 | And I loved the boxing aspect. And most of my training, if not all of it, was in boxing gyms. |
| 2:51.4 | And, you know, I, I turned pro October 20th of 2000. |
| 2:56.4 | It was the only fight that I ever had under a different promoter and the promoter was actually a good friend of mine. |
