1:13.8 | because of Herodius, his brother Philip's wife. For John had told him, it is against the law |
1:21.1 | for you to have her. He had wanted to kill him but was afraid of the people, who regarded John as a prophet. |
1:29.3 | Then, during the celebrations for Herod's birthday, the daughter of Herodius danced before the company, |
1:35.3 | and so delighted Herod that he promised an oath to give her anything she asked. |
