The attacker said he was looking for the speaker herself and he fractured the skull of 82-year-old Paul Pelosi.

It happened in the pre-dawn hours of Friday morning after I break in at his and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco home.

Authorities say the intruder is 42-year-old man.

David DePepi, he is in custody.

Mr. Pelosi underwent what doctors say was successful surgery.
