We do begin here with the torrential rain hitting Southern California, bringing the threat of flooding and mudslides.

So we're going to begin here with Samara, who's been tracking its paths.

Samara, it's a lot of rain and a lot of concern.

This is rain coming down in real time, the worst of it on the way. As a result, flood watches have been prompted for much of Southern California, anyone living in the green. But this is the factor that we're really concerned about that flash flooding risk, significant risk for Los Angeles already has seen half an inch of rain. That's how much they should see in their entire

month of November. They have seen that in the past day. They could see one hour per one inch per hour

rainfall rates. So significant risk for places like Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Timing this out,

we've got two rounds on the way. First round coming in this morning right now as you're waking up

and then that second round moving in in the afternoon. By the time it's all set and done, we could be looking at

four to six plus inches of rain leading to prolific dangers like mudslides and landslides.
