Yes, but we do begin this morning with the holiday travel picture in the areas of the country seeing severe weather at the same time. So let's start with the forecast. And for that, we turn to Leslie Lopez from our ABC 7 station in Los Angeles. Good morning. Good morning, guys. It's so great to be here with you this morning on a holiday weekend. And we're talking, unfortunately, about some severe weather threat. So as we're looking towards right now, Oklahoma to Arkansas, we do have severe weather watches in effect. We could see some hail, we could see some flooding, |
| 1:28.3 | we could see some downpours. With that, we can't even rule out a chance of an isolated thunderstorm. There's gonna be a lot of rainfall. We're looking at two to five inches of rain, up to eight inches possible in some of these areas, stretching from Henrietta, all the way out towards areas closer towards Arkansas. Now some of these areas, again, where we could see some of the more intense pockets of rain, |
| 1:45.3 | Springfield, down through Jonesboro, and out towards areas closer towards Arkansas. Now some of these areas again, where we could see some of the more intense pockets of rain, Springfield, down through Jonesboro, and out towards areas of Dallas, at least to the south of Dallas. So again, this is gonna be a quite significant rain event. We also have unfortunately that small opportunity for some thunderstorms. We have more to come. We have a lot more weather dividing the nation. I'll show you that coming up in a little bit. Yeah, there's a lot of weather to watch, Leslie. Thank you so much. And we got to watch it because some 45 million Americans are on the move this holiday weekend, on the roads and in the skies. Let's turn now to ABC's Olivia Rubin at New York's LaGuardia Airport for the full travel picture. Good morning, Olivia. |
