Apparent gunshots fired near the White House this evening.

The North Lawn cleared by Secret Service, ABC's Selena Wang,

was filing a report there when it happened.

The deal is close, only for the two sides to remain far apart.

Members of the press on the North Lawn were sent to shelter in the briefing room.

President Trump staying at the White House this weekend,

where today the president said a deal to end the three-month war with Iran is, quote, largely negotiated

and would include opening the Strait of Hormuz.

But two sources tell ABC News that Iran has not signed on to that deal yet.
