This was a scene outside the Vermont Hollywood

nightclub early this morning when a car plowed into a crowd outside hurting dozens of people.

And then more chaos. Police say the driver was shot and the crowd dragging him from the vehicle.

At this hour, authorities have not said what started at all, but NBC

news has learned the driver was kicked out earlier in the night, and police say they believe
