As of state diplomats and security experts from all around the world gathered in a small

hotel in Munich talking, discussing the state of the world at the Munich Security Conference.

There are some notable absentees but we'll get to those in a second.

In attendance, European leaders, a third of the US Senate, the US Secretary of State,

Vice President Kamala Harris and China's top diplomat.

And the latter two addressed the conference this morning and Paris-John Ruich has been

listening in from Beijing and joins us.
