Summary

Saturday night at The Open Championship: Andrew and Iain once again convene in the media centre to discuss the third round, wondering if anybody can stop Scottie Scheffler from winning his first Claret Jug and his fourth major, but more than that, they discuss whether he is actually exciting to watch or if his mastery of the game is actually quite dull. They ponder both that and the hero worship for Rory McIlroy while also hearing from Eddie out in Germany again, who managed to salvage his third round at the Hotel Planner Tour event with a storming finish before enjoying another large steak. Probably.

The chefmeister, general.

1:01.7

Look, that was an incredible performance today.

1:07.7

And it was so Scotty Sheffler and it was so Tiger Woods-like.

1:11.9

It was, you know, the first six holes, it was fairly humdrum.

1:16.9

He hit a fantastic T-shot into the sixth, the par three, after Matt Fitzpatrick had hit a wonderful T-shot in there.

1:27.4

And it was a really interesting actually being with Olly Wilson all the way around.

1:32.0

Former Ryder Cup player has been really excellent summariser for us on Five Live this week.

1:38.0

And he said after that, he said, you know, these guys at that level,

1:42.0

he said, I want to go out and start playing again because I'm watching what they're doing and they're not afraid. They'll go for it. And that pin position on the sixth was tucked away right at the back, six paces right, six paces left. That was it. And they both went for it. Neither of them made their birdie. And then Schaeffler 400 yard drive down the seventh onto the green

2:02.5

knocks it in for an eagle follows it up with a birdie and then it's par golf amazing par saves at the

2:09.6

11th and the 14th and then he makes the birdie at Calamity Corner and that really kind of sealed it and it

2:20.2

the amazing thing Andrew is and I started watching it very very closely as the round went on I just thought just show something
