Okay, what's going on?

I'm trying to get on a private money.

I'm not able to get in and I see like I'm just not able to get in

having my husband and injuries. What you just heard was the 911 call placed by a woman who identified herself as Joya de Ruyin.

Joya was the wife of Martel de Ruyin, the man she requested a welfare check on.

Although Joya and Martel were separated, they were still part of one another's lives.

Joya knew Martel well enough to know that it was odd that she hadn't heard from him, at least in theory. In reality, there's more to that

911 call than meets the eye, or ear as it may be. The woman calling wasn't actually Joya, and her identity wasn't the only detail she

lied about. It's human nature to tell stories about our lives. They help us make sense of our experiences and of what sort of people we are.

But sometimes the stories we tell ourselves don't necessarily

represent the whole truth. After all, human beings are multifaceted, and we each have our own contradictory qualities.

However, so far as Martel de Roon was concerned, the narratives he told about himself seemed

pretty spot on. He was an important fixture in his family

who joined the Air Force as a legacy enlistee after another relative had also served in the military.

In civilian life, Martel still took care of his loved ones.

His mother, Melissa Davis, later described how Martel helped her during one of the darkest periods in her life.
