Dordogne is a lovely area, just a little north of Toulouse where we live and there's lots and lots to see.

But today specifically as we announced last week we are going to take you to Sarlatte.

Beautiful, beautiful place, lots to see and do and eat.

And it's going to be a fun one.

So before we get going, let's have a little music.

And then we'll come back and talk about Sarlatte. the Okay, we're back. Should we talk about Salat? Yes, let's talk about Sarlatte.

Sarlatte is, as we mentioned very briefly in the last podcast, it's in the center of a department and of course everybody remembers that there are so many departments that are like big counties in France called the Doldania and the Doldania is in fact the name of the river, which is a very important river, that runs through the

department and empties out into the waters where the Garun meets up at Bardordeaux into the geront.

Okay, so that's also two podcasts ago.

That's two podcasts ago.

And this is actually north by northwest of Toulouse. So by car from Toulouse, it's just about two and a quarter, two

and a half hours away. Yes. Because part of it is by big auto route and part of it is these lovely little

narrow country roads departmental roads and it's just about I would say an hour and

a half from Bordeaux so it's really almost halfway in

between the two. Yeah and then when we talked about Saint-Céa-Pau-Pau-Pye a few episodes

ago it's like an hour north of Saint-Céa-Pau-Pie. It's actually west.
