Hi, this is Josh, and you've probably noticed that this very special bonus episode of the movies that made me is dropping on a Friday and not the usual Tuesday. There's a reason for that. If you've listened to the show for a while,

you've probably noticed that I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. Well, there's a new movie that comes

out today in theaters everywhere called Blinded by the Light. It's directed by Gorinda Chata,

who directed Benda Lake Beckham, among others, and it's absolutely wonderful. It's based on the true story of a young Pakistani kid growing up in Luton, England

in the 80s. Alienated and frustrated with life, he discovers the music of Bruce Springsteen

and everything changes. So I've hijacked the show. I've got Joe tied up in the closet, and for one

very special episode, we're changing the name of the show to the music that made me.

As we dive deep into the work of Bruce Springsteen with the author of the book the movie is based on,

who is also a screenwriter on the movie.
