All right, Sarah, welcome to The Man Talk Show. How are you doing today?

0:07.4

Great. It's great to see you flipside. I was interviewing you recently. Yeah.

0:13.0

All right. The rules have reversed. Good. I'm bracing myself. Yeah, brace for impact, right?

0:19.6

Well, I've been looking forward to this interview and we had a great

0:22.4

conversation on your show. I really, I really enjoyed it. And while I feel like we come from

0:28.1

different backgrounds in many ways, I feel like we had some really good conversation in terms of

0:33.3

what's happening in the world today. And so we're going to dive into a number of different pieces

0:38.1

on today's show, but I think where I'd like to start is for you to tell us a little bit of a story,

0:46.0

as I always start all of my shows, tell us a story about a defining moment in your life that made you

0:51.7

who you are today. It can be any moment, but a defining moment.

0:56.2

Oh, that's an awesome question.

0:57.8

I always think to the age of eight, seven or eight, and I suppose my mother asked me what

1:09.3

Prime Minister of Australia that was still attainable

1:11.8

when I was seven or a nun. And apparently mum asked me, well, why is that? I answered that I

1:18.7

figured that that was the best way that I could go about having a full life without being held back

1:24.3

by a husband. I think, though, off the back of that, I think that I've kind of

1:30.1

gone ahead. I've been interested in politics. I've been interested in spirituality. So certainly

1:34.6

some of those tropes have played out. But I think I've always had a sort of an idea that I was

1:40.3

going to do work that communicated and maybe had some impact on people and in some way

1:46.3

might lead people. Yeah, that could be one such defining moment. I had many when I was growing up.

1:52.5

I was a strange child. Well, that's a, I mean, that's a good one. That's an interesting one.
