0:56.7	So I know now we're on the cusp of September and to October.
1:01.3	And the thing is, the garden has been really chocker, I hope, for you.
1:07.8	I'm old smug pants here.
1:09.6	It has certainly for me.
1:13.6	And so for the last six months or so,
1:21.9	I've been surrounded by colour and abundance. But we are about to enter a moment in the year where that is no longer the case. And it's a funny thing, but the older I I get the more I find the winter months quite a challenge
1:32.1	because as soon as spring arrives I walk out and there's something that whatever's going on in
1:38.3	the world whether my own personal mini world or whether in the global world, there is something to lift the spirits,
1:46.7	hopefully in minute detail in the garden, or a sweeping, lovely, beautiful tree coming into
1:53.3	leaf or some blossom or some tulips or bulbs or whatever. And for me, that immediately sort of snaps me out of any
2:02.7	tricky thoughts. So now is the time to bring that forward as close as it can possibly be.
2:13.2	So rather than as we go into October and it gets colder and wetter and then November more so
2:19.2	growth curves fall off completely, the garden becomes rather grey and brown, that is a fact.
2:26.9	I mean, there are things you can do about that to prolong the season with things like
2:30.6	Noreen's, etc. But the thing that I've become really increasingly obsessed with is starting spring
2:38.0	as early as I possibly, possibly can in the garden here.
