I'm your host, Gene McCarthy.

I write the blog Unpickled, where I've been telling my story of life after alcohol since my first day of sobriety back in 2011.

I tell my story there, and I invite you to share your stories here.

And today on the show, I'm really happy to have a listener who wrote in on the 30th of January to tell me she had 30 days of sobriety,

and that she was planning to share her story after she hit 90 days.

The thing was, this wasn't her first rodeo.

Sarah is here today to tell us about how her story has taken a bit of a turn.

She had several years of recovery and thought, that niggling thought

that some of us sometimes think, maybe I can just drink normally again. Sarah's going to tell

us how that worked out. I bet you can guess, but not all the details anyway. Sarah, welcome to the
