Galatians, chapter 1, verse 11.

My subject for those of you who take notes is radical expectations.

I'm going to see if victory is a radical expectation.

I didn't even know what songs they were going to be singing tonight,

but when I came into the room, I knew that God was already doing something

because those words are radical expectations.

I'm going to begin in verse 11.

It says, but I make known to you the author of this epistle is Paul the apostle.

And he's talking to the church of Galatia who is being diluted by outside influences.

And he says in verse 11, but I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was

preached by me is not according to man.

For I neither received it from man nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the Church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.

And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation,

being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. He was good at this.

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through his grace to reveal his son in me

that I might preach him among the Gentiles. I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood.

I didn't get that call validated by men or women when Jesus spoke a word to me.

I didn't ask anyone's opinion about it.

I didn't ask anyone to tell me whether it was right or wrong,

nor did I go to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me.
