On February 20, 2025, 16-year-old Sarah Grace Patrick called 911 to report her mother, Kristen Brock, and stepfather James Brock, had been shot to death.

They had been found by her half-sister, who was five years old at the time.

Understandably, the small community of Carrollton was shocked and terrified that someone could murder two people

in their beds as they slept. Thankfully, Sarah Grace and her young sister were safe and unharmed.
