Retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

We have a very interesting case tonight. Interesting and not a little bit crazy, a lot bit crazy.

A case that's been going on for four years yet has yet to hit the trial, hasn't reached the trial.

In fact, the defendant in this case, Sarah Boone, has gone through eight attorneys.

So many attorneys has she gone through that now the judge has given her permission to represent herself because no attorney can handle dealing

with her. So that says a great deal about this case. And it's being referred to as the suitcase

murderer. And we're going to explain the whole thing, but Sarah Boone, the Florida woman, accused of

zipping her boyfriend inside a suitcase in an alleged game of hide-and-seek,

and then leaving him outside until he died, will soon go on trial on second-degree murder charges, more than a year after she was originally

scheduled to stand trial. Boone was arrested on February 25, 2020 by Orange County deputies

after the detective said they found Jorge Torres, Jr., He was 42 at the time.

He had remained in the suitcase for hours outside the couple's winter park home.

The trial was set for May 13th.

Boone called 9-11 after she said she found Torres inside the suitcase, the morning after she said that

she and her boyfriend had been drinking and agreed it would be funny to play hide and seek.

When the investigators arrived, Torres was dead.

Boone was charged with second-degree murder in 2023.

So we're going to look at this case. We're going to take a deeper dive into it and see what the heck is this all about this case? How could this be? How could

someone lock a husband? Or anyway, how did she get him in the suitcase that's one of the

things we want to know you know as part of the game the game did he voluntarily get into the suitcase
