Do you see your limitations as a blessing or more of a burden?

Some of you know me pretty well, right? So for me,

I have a few health challenges I have to work around. I have some food issues. I can't do gluten,

dairy, soy, and there's a whole host of other things that seem to bug me as well. I'm not a night person.

I never have been. I never will be. I can't do late nights. My personality makes a hasty exit by

about 8.30 p.m. I need my warnings before I see people. I need my warnings with Jesus.

For me, I just feel better when I exercise four to five times per week. If I don't get that in,

I feel crummy. I have a public ministry, but I have an introvert's heart, which means I need

downtime after I've been with lots of people. I used to see these things as limitations, as weaknesses,

and I actually resented them. But then I learned to embrace them as God-given. And I realized that,

you know what, I'm on my best self when I honor the way God has made me, and when I discern this season that he has me in at the moment, rather than reeling against all those things.

That's what we're talking about today, the blessing of our limitations.
