Hi, today's guests are two of the most talented costume designers in the world.

Sandy Powell has earned three Academy Awards and been nominated 12 times so far.

Her many films include Shakespeare in Love, Mary Poppins Returns, and The Favorite.

She's collaborated with director Martin Scorsese on Shutter Island, The Departed, The Aviator,

and the Wolf of Wall Street.

Christopher Peterson earned an Emmy nomination for his work with John Dunn on Boardwalk Empire,

which was produced by Scorsese.

His films include Magic Mike, Dark Waters,

and with Sandy Powell, The Departed, and the Wolf of Wall Street. Jesse and I discovered

that praise hasn't turned their heads. These collaborators are hardworking people who love

what they do and enjoy talking about their work. We interviewed them in a hotel suite

as they finished promoting Scorsese's The Irishman,

which is now playing on Netflix.
