When I think of the nativity scene and the invitation to pay attention to the small things,

to be still in the middle of a scene that is no doubt messy and it's dark and it's probably cold.

And you've got this like manger scene where this baby is born in a way that was not at all

what we expected for the royalty and kingship of God coming to be with us in this way.

And like no one could have scripted this.

And, I mean, other than the prophets and they didn't know what they were doing.

Yeah. I heard the bells on Christmas Day, their old familiar carous play and wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on earth good will to men I thought how as the day had come, the belfries of all Christendom had rode along the unbroken song of peace on earth goodwill to men.
