The goal of the first part of this though is for people to interact and connect.

And I take inspiration from the Hadith of the Prophet, said Allah, Allah aidesha,

and I share this in different spaces in the

masjid especially in community spaces where the very first advice of the prophet

said Allah aidesha gave when he entered Medina was a fashu's salam what I'll taim

and ta'am wussiul al-a'rham which was a fashu ala'u'al spurned peace make s'am with each other allow the person next to you to feel

comfortable in your presence so take a moment and just say salam to each other introduce yourself

if you don't know someone obviously if someone you're like sitting next to your roommate probably know

them pretty well but if you have someone around you that you haven't interacted with yet, you haven't met yet, someone in your vicinity, just say salam. Introduce yourself really quickly in the next two minutes, inshallah, and then we'll get started by the time everyone settles in. Are there any people here that are new from out of state?
