It's impossible for a converted person to remain unchanged.

The very presence of the new nature,

the very presence and power of the indwelling Holy Spirit

indicates to the contrary that we are indeed changed

and changing people.

There were a couple of times throughout my teenage years

where I was led to pray what is often called the sinner's prayer.

And although I was told that by this act I was now a Christian, I wasn't.

As R.C. Sproul just said, if I had been converted,

there would have been an evident change.

But sometime later when the Lord did actually save me,

my life was never the same again.
