Niner. The nothing personal word of the day is Niner as an in nickname of Jeff

Kohnine. I've told you the story on nothing personal that in all 18 years

there is one player who has become my closest friend and his name is Jeff Kohnine

and about a couple weeks ago you remember we told the story about the

bus that Niner and I own together and we thought we would talk more about that

but we have so much else I wanted to bring Jeff Kohnine on the show. Welcome

Niner. How are you? I'm well. How are you? I'm doing well. So we're in the middle

quarantine. We actually this may be I was thinking about the longest we haven't

seen each other since you retired in 2008. So this is the longest we've gone.

These quarantine because you're not allowed to leave your house. I'm not allowed

to leave my house and that's the end of it unless we go to public together we're

done. It's been unbelievable. It's unbelievable. What's happening right now in this

world and our new normal is never going to be the same I don't think. But are we in

the new normal because now in Florida where you're in Florida and I'm in Florida

actually New York has become way safer than Florida right now. Yeah go figure

right? Maybe we should go to New York. Well that means we got to get on a plane

or we can maybe take the bus. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. All right I want to go

back now. I want to talk about how this friendship started because people don't

know that I did not know you. So when I joined the Marlins in 2002 I knew of you

because you were Mr. Marlin and you were a Baltimore Oriole and you had won the

All Star Game MVP and you were part of the lore and the history of the Marlins
