an extra treat for my soap plus members.

This is the history of sewing.

To begin, I'll take you back in time before sewing existed

so you can visualize and somewhat experience how sewing

truly changed the life, survival, and progress of early humans. Then I'll walk you through

the chronological development of bone needles, ivory needles,

and metal needles.

I'll also explain the history of linen threads, cotton threads, wool threads, silk threads,

and threads made from the pieces and parts of animals.

And I'll even sprinkle in some fun facts about sinew, catcut, spinsters, and narwhals.

In the near future, I'll do another bonus episode

about the struggles, challenges,

and ugly feuds of creating the world's first sewing machine.

But for now, lean back, put up your feet, and settle into my

time machine of tranquility. I hope this episode distracts and relaxes your overactive brain squirrels.
