Hello, everyone, and welcome back to one of our final episodes of the financial confessions this season.

I can barely contain my excitement.

The energy in our office has rarely been this buzzing because we have saved some of the best for last.

This is the guest we've been by far the most excited about all season.

She, for most of us, probably needs no introduction.

But in case you weren't familiar, she is travel host extraordinaire, travel icon, I would say, Emmy winner, and host of PBS's Places to Love.

Her name is Samantha Brown, and she is here from her home in Brooklyn all the way to our office in Columbus Circle.

Chelsea, thank you so much for

inviting me. This is an absolute pleasure. Thank you for being here. So as I mentioned, you live in

Brooklyn, but you have been to how many countries? You know, I'm on a financial podcast and I'm not

really a numbers person. But I would say it's around 74. How many countries are there in the world? There's over 200. And then, you know, some people are like, well, the Vatican City is actually an autonomous, so you could count that as a country. And there's always like Lichtenstein, which, you know, there's always these little enclaves of like, oh, that's a country. Oh, actually, that can be considered a country because of its autonomy.

And so you, how long have you been actually hosting travel shows?

This year will be, 2024 will be my 25th anniversary of being on television hosting travel programs.

Yeah, it's huge. I didn't actually,

again, like I said, I'm not really good at, you know, keeping track of numbers, and it just

hit me probably two months ago, and I thought, oh my goodness. Goodness. Goodness gracious.

Goodness gracious. But I didn't realize that, but yeah long time and so okay so for those of those in

our audience who are newer to your work can you just quickly take us through your travel hosting

career in broad strokes so people can catch up sure so I started on the travel channel was with

them for about 15 years and that's where the bulk of people really know me from. And I started with a show called Great Vacation Homes, which is where I would just

spend time in their vacation homes. You couldn't actually rent them. And then we did great hotels.
