Summary

There comes a moment in the career of every late-night comedy host when something happens in the world that is too tragic to make fun of, and much too big simply to ignore. Samantha Bee, a former star of Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show,” launched her own show, “Full Frontal,” in February. On Monday, just a day after the worst mass shooting in American history, she went on the air. David Remnick speaks with Bee about her naked grief and rage at what happened—and at her certainty that something like it will happen again.
