of the dying leaves.

The leaves are dying on the trees because they know it's coming.

They know that winter is coming, that the joy of the New England summer is over, that

the carefree days, walking barefoot in the Cape Cod sands, and inhaling freshly cut

grass while children celebrate, and grown men fistfight over Red Sox scores.

It's all behind you now, and only winter stands in front of you, and thus the leaves

are hanging themselves, they're committing suicide on the branches of the trees in New

England.

I saw it!

I was there all week!

All God damn week, I was in New England, had a blast, but I am exhausted.

Damn it, that's not the normal kind of a stand up run I do.

I usually fly into one place, I spend three nights, same hotel, chill out, fly home.

This was like I flew in, I drove, I golfed, I went to a Patriots game, I did shows all

over New Hampshire, and oh my God, enough, enough of that, that's too much work.

Thanks to everybody who came out, and thanks to John Tobin, thank you to Rob Steen, who

booked the gigs in New Hampshire, who's a character, who books like 80 shows a week

in New England, and also manages to farm worms.

How does he do it?

I don't know.
