Dan Quinn will be formally introduced later today as your commander's new head coach and we've learned he's hired a new

defensive coordinator and a new offensive coordinator that's Cliff Kingsbury.

Sam Fordier who covers the commanders to Washington, covered him back in Lubbock, Texas in 2017,

so we wanted to get him on to learn a little bit more about Kingsbury and he joins us now.

Hey guys, thank you for having me.

So give us a scoop.

I don't even know.

Is that where you went to school?

No, no, I went to Syracuse, but I was working for the Ringer in in 2017 and I was doing a story

I was actually doing a story on college football team chaplains and kind of how that

role was evolving it was around when Davososweini was baptizing kids at practice and I was

just kind of wondering about the role and so I went to Lubbock to do a story about that.

Ended up also doing a story about Cliff because you know I would be in the building and everybody

would say oh Cliff gets here at 4 a.m. Cliff gets here at 4 a.m. He's always the first one in the building and

I was like you know what I'm here for a week like let me see if he

actually is so a random day while I was there I showed up in 406 a.m. the white

escalade pulls into the parking lot and Cliff and I went in and he got a workout in and it was you know it was it was a good time being around him.

Sam it seems like he's a guy that we would love we hate meetings and in your tweet you said his

staff meetings usually lasted between six and eight minutes like he's all about
