You know, patina is patina. You just kind of got to leave it raw. I learned that. I learned that from Dell.

When he did the 65, he didn't touch the body. Didn't touch, didn't even

wash the truck. You know, this is a nut and bolt, meticulous chassis, satin black, everything,

but he did not touch the patina on that truck. Didn't touch the interior, left the original seat

with the rip in it. And I fell in love with the interior, left the original seat with the rip in it.

And I fell in love with the truck, but then like all of us, we can't leave anything alone.

Got to leave shit alone.

Listen, you've got to leave it alone.

It's the number one rule you got to leave it alone.

And I've learned the hard way.

So the 65, when Dell did it He had that patina was just left alone and I said this is early this is early days where

Patina which was a lot of paint it wasn't rusty patina it was original paint Tina

I looked at that and I said man She, sheet metal straight. I'm like, Dell, we need to buff this out, take off all that trim, and rechrome the bumpers. And he's like, okay, I think that's going to ruin the truck is what he said. And we did it, and it looked great. Because it was one of the early

polished patina, perfect chrome trim. And it was amazing. So that worked. Well then two things

happened. First of all, everybody's buffed in paint. Everybody's buffing patina. A patina,

buffed patina is kind of nice, but at the same time when you're buffing that paint and now all

it is is this shiny black primer coming through a couple of spots of paint, come on, I think that's a little

too much. So really you don't even want to buff patina so again going back to going back to Dell is is I started to see when he would early early Dell when he was building patina trucks he would do all that work throw on there, and he would leave the truck alone.

Yeah.

He'd leave the dash alone.
