And I'm Danny Fawson from here in Silicon Valley. Now, if you were listening last week,

you'd have heard Danny tantalize us with the promise of data centers in space.

Danny, did you deliver?

I have come no closer to personally getting data centers to space,

but yes, I have interviewed someone who is working on this very problem,

this very kind of crazy idea.

And that's coming up just in a few minutes.

Great. I just, I can't wait to hear how

that's going to work. But before that, we were also in our New Year's episode looking back at

last year, reflecting on 2024. And it seems like we weren't the only ones to be doing that.

Yeah. So New Year's get people in a Reflective Mood.

This is a quote, actually from Sam Altman, who put out a blog post this week titled

Reflections, and I think we should reflect on his reflections.

So I think one of the things that's really striking about this blog post is the description he had of being fired by the board.

Yeah.

Because obviously we covered it at the time not having a clue what was going on.

And I've heard subsequently from people at Open AI that they call it internally the blip, right?

This kind of very weird few-day period where he was pushed out and then re-employed after being

offered a job by Microsoft.

But anyway, it was obviously a very, very difficult and painful period for him as well.

And he talks about the last two years of Open AI as incredibly painful and challenging as well as enjoyable.
