Greetings Clarks World Citizens. It's been 15 days since I introduced the first story of October.

Now we do have a few pieces of brief news.

As some of you may have seen already in the article penned by Neil Clark, Sean

Wallace, our co-editor who's been with us since inception of Clark's Road magazine

five years ago, has decided to step down due to the birth of his two new beautiful daughters.

We wish him well in his next endeavors, especially ones that involve raising children.

However, we want to balance this with some happier news.

We've decided to invite Jeremy Elsie Jones to the staff of Clark's World along with Daniel Robeshod.

Jeremy, who has done our interviews in the past, will be with us on a full-time basis.

As will Daniel Robeshod, who will be one of our new slush readers.

I'd like to welcome you both to the Clark's World team. It's going to be great to have you.

In our other bit of news, the World Fantasy Convention is taking place on October 29th through the 31st in Columbus, Ohio.

Now, Clark's World is up for a special award, so cross your fingers, send some good vibes,

and maybe we'll walk away with two awards from WorldCom's.

And now on to our second piece of fiction for the month of October 2010.

Salvaging Gods by Jacques Barcha.

For those of you who don't know Jacques, He is a weird fiction writer and technology reporter from

Oresife, Brazil. A non-practicing atheist, he likes to engage in theological fights with

random people in the streets. He holds a professional record of 33.
