Garcia reports that starting today, L.A. County shoppers will notice a slightly higher sales tax.

It will be jumping from 9.5% to 9.75% to fund county homeless services. Voters approved measure A, which is a replacement for the 2017 sales tax that was set to expire.

The money will go towards mental health services and affordable housing.

But not every city will see the same rate.

Some already have higher taxes.

But if you're buying clothes, electronics, or furniture, expect to pay a little more.

This tax increase will stay until voters decide otherwise.

President Trump is floating the possibility of a third term, and he's not joking.

Reporter Chris McGarion breaks down his latest controversial statement.

In a phone interview from Mar-a-Lago, Trump told NBC News he's considering ways to stay in

power after 2029, despite the 22nd Amendment, which bans anyone from being elected more than

twice.

He claims that there are methods to do it,

but didn't share details. Trump would be 82 years old by the end of his second term,

but says the public would back a third term, citing high poll numbers that appear to contradict

official data. Experts call the idea legally questionable and say there's no loophole. But the statement shows

Trump wants to shake up the system and his words are raising eyebrows in Washington.
