Hello you spooktacular people welcome to History Go's Bump Redux I'm your host I

am and this is Kelly on this episode we're going to be doing the Salem witch trials not

that kind of witch though no and we just got back from Salem not too long ago Kelly we

had a great time going up there what did you and Jared think of the place oh we absolutely

loved it we didn't get to spend quite as much time as we would have liked however we

were hitting so many amazing locations in that same road trip that we really had to kind

of parcel our time out so definitely a location we'd like to get back to yeah we gave up

a little bit of Salem so we could do Gettysburg but yeah we'll definitely be back there there

is so much to do there and I was just excited for you guys to get to experience it too I've

been there three times now it was very cool yeah it was fantastic we loved it all right

should we jump on in let's jump on in or maybe we should say fly on in oh my I'll probably

end up like one of those Halloween witches that smashes into a tree so how about we walk

on in that's a much safer choice for me as well I don't know Kelly you're not very good

with walking either maybe at least the broom would keep you upright Salem just has a haunting

error about it that oozes through every brick tombstone and t-shirt shop is it because

Hocus Pocus made this the setting for the movie is it the scores of people who transformed

this into Halloween mecca in October or is it the history of witch hunts and trials and

executions clearly we all know it's the latter Salem and witches have become intertwined

through the years and a study in human psychology surrounding the events of the Salem witch trials
